SpiderWoman

 Swoman

It’s not because Marvel is 70 years old that they can’t work with new technology!!! Check out the trailer of the Motion Comics!!

As you might know on Iphone and Ipod touch you can read comic books. You can either pay for it, get a preview (issue #1 is almost always free) and read it for free. And Marvel is not going to let go this opportunity so they are launching the Marvel super heroe « Spider Woman » on it.

This will be available as a Motion comics. Marvel said that there could be five episodes of this SpiderWoman Motion Comics of 10 – 12 minutes each. There is a special offer for the first 2 weeks (0.99$) and then it will be 1.99$

Who is SpiderWoman ?

You might know who is SpiderMan (aka Peter Parker) but some of you may think « Ok who this girl? » First of all NO! she is not some kind of woman clone of Peter Parker (actually this would be very weird, but then it’s not the case) and she not a sister of him.

SpiderWoman, aka Jessica Drew suffered uranium poisoning in 1931, Dr. Drew was forced to inject her with his untested spider serum and seal her in a genetic accelerator. She awoke years later with no memories of her past and with close to any age effects. You can take a look to Jessica’s full detailed on the SpiderWoman profile in Marver.com

Who is behind this character?

The SpiderWoman Motion Comics that is now available was written by Brian Michael Bendis a great writer that has won five EISNER awards, including ‘Best Writer of the year’ two years in a row. He worked on several series such as Avengers and Daredevil too mention just those ones. For this issue he worked with the artist Alex Maleev artist of the New Avengers, Daredevil and much more…

This Motion Comics launched by Marvel is another evidence that the Ipod and Iphone market is clearly growing, I don’t have any numbers yet on how many comic books have been sold on those device but I will be looking for it and provide it to you on this blog.

What do you think about that? Do you think that devices like the Iphone and Ipod are the futur for Comic Books?
